Franklin koroma biography

Franklyn Koroma, Youth Representative Since March 2002, Franklyn has been instrumental in championing youth interest in meetings involving international partners. His leadership qualities, commended by the iEARN Director, have been evidenced through prominent participation in donor activities by such charities as Knowledge Aid and Computer Aid International as well as the propagation of ICT initiatives in several schools and communities in Sierra Leone through an all-out excellence in public speaking and outreach. He helped to spearhead the first iEARN I.C.T.- based peace clubs in his own school, the Albert Academy Secondary School. As school prefect and prefect of the library, Franklyn was able to motivate both students as well as principals and staff to enhance ICT in local schools. Franklyn is also interested in Human Rights issues and has acted as a witness at the Special Courts Procedure in Sierra Leone. He was commended for the on-line international essay contest in Malta known as ICT for youth empowerment.
Since 2004, Franklyn has been an active participant in the My Hero project and is currently producing a 'My Hero' short video documentary for international competition and broadcast. Franklyn is shepherding a crew of youth video producers from iEARN to do interviews with think-tanks and community leaders about the very worthy contributions they can make to the video process about heroism.
Franklyn's public speaking and leadership has been demonstrated over and over. In 2003, he was selected to represent iEARN SL at the iEARN Summer Conference in Slovakia. Also in 2003, he participated in the Global Campaign for Education known as "Hands Up For Girls' Education." Franklyn has also served as a moderator for several youth peace-building workshops and has represented the youth of iEARN Sierra Leone in a cross-country sensitization campaign on the theme "Birth and Death Registration." Franklyn was also a Keynote Speaker at the Africa Youth network, hosted in Ghana, organized by (AYN). He is a member and participant in such global youth organizations as TakingItGlobal, ENO, and Youth CaN, all of whom span various issues. On August 10th 2004, Franklyn was singled out as a Youth Speaker at the International Youth Day by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabba.

Hiya franklyn
pleased to see that you got the blog and that you've got started.
I find that the way a blog works best is if you can use it either
a)to throw some light onto a world that people might not understand - a simple diary with personal detail as well as local and national events
b) to explain your views and opinions
c) to develop a theme or campaign

There's a bit on the 'dashboard' where you can create your profile as a separate part of the blog.

Anyway. Hope you like it. I'll email again soon.

Matt
